It started with one breath.
Not a business plan. Not a studio. Just one breath — and a turning point.
What began as a personal practice became something bigger: a desire to create a place where other people could experience that same sense of connection — through breath, movement, and community.
Through Nexus Breath, JR has since guided hundreds of people through their first breathwork experience. CASAPRANA is the next chapter: a permanent home for that work, and a place for the Coachella Valley to breathe, move, and gather together.

Getting on the path of recovery
Becoming sober was the turning point, and the start of a new way of living. I reconnected with yoga and movement & discovered the power of breathwork, mindfulness and contrast therapy.

Founding Nexus Breath
After fifteen years in residential mortgage lending, a forced lay-off led me to get certified to share breathwork. For over three years I have led sessions at studios, resorts, privates and an original AirBNB Experience and built a strong community along the way.
